Sable antelope continue to make an appearance! This one was seen on the H1-2, very close to the H12 junction. If you are in the area, it will be a nice sighting to keep an eye out for.

In a sighting that blew us away on Wednesday, lions took down a giraffe and have been on their meal ever since! There was a video of the hunt, and it’s incredible. So stay tuned for the posts.

Epic Battle Between Lions, Black Mamba and Eagle
A snake eagle caught a black mamba, which then took over and got hold of the eagle. The eagle was trapped by the mamba and the mamba was stuck in the talons of the eagle!! Then, lions came around and fought with the black mamba, leaving the terrified eagle with a little chance of escaping.

This leopard was moving with intent on Monday afternoon. It was a beautiful sighting and the most liked for Pilanesberg this week.
Porcupine With No Face Runs For It as Male Leopard is Distracted by Female
On the H1-4 last week, a male leopard took on two porcupines and, in the process, ripped the face off one of them. Then, a female leopard began seducing the male, which distracted him. While the leopards were busy, the porcupines saw their gap and made a run for freedom.

Today, this big male lion spent the morning by himself on a giraffe kill.
A lonely jackal was sniffing around for scraps on Warthog Island.
