A quiet stretch near Satara turned emotional when an injured calf that was abandoned by its herd was discovered by a passing lioness.
A lioness came across a vulnerable and injured baby buffalo near Satara a couple of weeks ago. The herd seemed to think that the situation was hopeless, so rather than risking one lion, they made the heartbreaking decision to abandon the calf.

This leopard was right next to the road on Kubu Drive. The tinger states the cat was very skittish and soon ran off to the west side of the road at 5:25 AM.
