Lioness Stands Over Her Cub, As It Takes Its Final Breath
A deeply emotional scene unfolded this week in Kruger National Park, reminding everyone that even animals have feelings.
On October 6th, visitors driving along the S25 near Crocodile Bridge witnessed a heartbreaking scene as a mother lion stood over her cub, appearing to say her final goodbyes.
What made the moment even harder to watch was when the lioness looked back toward the tourists, almost as if she was asking for help.
By the next morning, the 7th of October, at the same location, another cub was found dead. The first cub had already been confirmed to have passed away the previous day, and it appeared to have happened quickly.
Rangers and guides are keeping a close eye on the situation. While the cause has not yet been confirmed, we hope it is nothing serious, like a disease or poisoning.
Updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.

Myth: Pet insurance doesn’t cover everything
Many pet owners worry that insurance won’t cover everything, especially routine care or pre-existing conditions. While that’s true in many cases, most insurers now offer wellness add-ons for preventive care like vaccines, dental cleanings, and check-ups, giving you more complete coverage. View Money’s pet insurance list to find plans for as low as $10 a month.
