What started as a routine afternoon sighting in Marloth Park turned tense in a matter of seconds. A herd of buffalo had no idea that danger was waiting just out of sight.

After surprising the herd, these lions got lucky when a baby calf lost its footing and slipped down an embankment. They managed to pull it away while the rest of the herd looked on, but then hesitated as if unsure of their next move.

A cute sighting! A mom and her cubs were on the move in Kruger’s rainy weather at 7:40 AM along the H10, 500 metres north-east of the S129. They later moved off into the bushes.
